What would be the ideal chamber for a 140 grain Berger in 6.5-284. I'm looking for reamer dimensions. Thanks

I know, I know it's not a .30 cal but hey it's not a 7 Em Em either :).

I shoot The Bergers in my custom 6.5 Sherman and can give you some dimensions that have worked well in my application. I can push the 140's at 3200' but cases last a lot better at 3150'. This is with only a 26" barrel. I would recommend a .293" neck, then turn your brass to .013" thickness. This will give you .0015" per side for expansion.Throat and lead dimension is .2645" and is .160 and .174 long . The angle is 1 1/2 degree. I have a .300 neck length which is a little better than the 284 case. PM me if you want more info.......Rich

I realize that my .160, .174 dimensions were confusing. The freebore is .174.....Rich
