54 Cal Lead Bullets

Just figured out Hornady has quit making their 54 cal conical. What has everyone gone to? I can't seem to find anything in stock that is pure lead, thanks Idaho. My TC has a slow enough twist that it doesn't do well with bullets over the 420gr range.

Never shot anything with round balls, would they be effective on elk at 100 yards?

I would go to track of the wolf & order the bullets you like. Yes a round ball works, I think there are better options though.

I have quite a few of the old Buffalo Bullets that are solid lead, conical style I think around 425 in weight that I run out of my TC Renegade.

You're welcome to a cpl boxes if you don't find anything else. I'd rather have these or the old Maxi-Ball conicals for ELK myself.
