I am looking at the vortex VIPER® HS 4-16X50 LR, it only comes in a .5 MOA adjustment. This will be on my hunting rifle that I will be practicing on steel out to 1000. My Max range in perfect conditions on game is 700. Would this be fine for my application?

Well, it can make a difference when shooting at 1000 yards. Your minimum adjustment per click would be basically 5" at 1000 yards, instead of 2.5" per click.

Thanks guys. That makes sense. I have a Gen 1 PST 6-24 x 50 that I am thinking of replacing due to the fact that in hunting situations I am never above a 16 in magnification. Plus the fact that the 6 magnification is not very good for close shots.

Seen a hslr scope on here for sale that had the elevation current swapped out for a 1/4 minute one.

I have 2 of these and need to contact vortex to see the price of it.
