4th of july weekend Aoudad

Well gents Me and my dad went to the ranch to do some aoudad hunting. He bagged a small on the 4th of july morning. After several days of hunting It was coming down to the wire. After my uncle's showed up Sunday evening and told us about the traffic going back to town we elected to stay and hunt Monday morning. Monday morning I bagged a 25'' with very soild mass and a smaller 16''. I finally got to get two legit kills on aodad with my 458 socom distance was nothing amazing (145)yards. I only say legit at the first Aoudad I shot with it was at 290 but I ended up hitting it a second time with my 7mm which ended up finishing it at the same distance.

Nice looking trophies! One of these days I'll make it to Tx after Aoudad, hopefully it will be during the winter. July is just way too hot for me to hunt, especially in Tx.

Morning hunts aren't bad. Evening hunts are a bit warm but it gets somewhat comfortable around 7:00 past that it's good. I like hunting in the winter that much more now after nearly stepping on a rattler on the 4th while walking back to my truck.
