We're way off topic, but 750gr out of a 500 sw for me isn't defensive. Bring it to bear, firing more than one accurate shot quick enough to do work isn't very feasible.

I agree, I don't have a 500, i have a 460. It belonged to the range masters friend. He got the bullets from from a guy in AK. I can't remember if they were 700 or 750. I shot it out of a 4" 500. After the first round I didn't want any more. In an indoor range you can't put on enough ear protection. I felt the pressure wave push mu cheeks back like I stuck my face out of a fast car's window.

I shot it a few times, maybe a cylinder worth, but those were brutal.
