Anyone here ever take game at a decent distance with a sharps 1874 clone 45/70?
45/70 sharps long range hunters?

The 45 cal 540 gr. with black powder will take anything you want from 5ft to 500 yds no problem. The 45-70 lacks the umph that a 45-110 will deliver at further ranges but in this game, trajectory is the key issue since the rounds travel at 1300-1400 fps.
