That was a good bullet choice for auodad ! I shot one with a 140 accubond 6.5wsm smack in the front shoulder broadside and it ran off. They are tough som'birches ! I now hunt em with a 338 so they just die . Congrats on the ram

Correct hammers are special. I took my biggest car me with a 124 hh in a creed and it went all of about 20 yards.
**** one at 438 with same load.
Last year I shot several with the 99gr hammer out of a grendel none of them went more than 40 yards through both shoulders
