4 gun battery, you pick um????

.22 LR
12 gauge
.30-06
.375 H&H

Boring, but you will be able to hunt anything on the planet. Obviously not optimum for F-Class, prairie dogs, or elephants, but will work.

Good luck

Jerry
Same.

Boring but ammo can be found where firearm will be used.

Simplicity is nice.

My ideal list would be 5-guns:
20 ga. Upland Shotgun
12 ga. Waterfowl
12 or 20 ga. Bolt Action Slug gun for special hunting areas here in Kali.
5.56 AR set up correctly for plinking and varmints
30-nosler Bolt Action for backpacking and everything in North America

If I could only have four guns and had to eliminate one of the above, it would be the 12-gauge waterfowler. I could hunt ducks and geese just fine with the 20 ga. I currently have.

Of the ones I currently own:

.17 HMR
12ga.
.308 win
300wm
Got everything covered at any range I'm comfortable at.

Because these are what I use the most.
10/22; squirrels, plinking, kids
AR-15 (223); squirrels, plinking, predators, kids
7mm-08; target, med-large game
7mm Rem Mag; target, large game.
Handguns and shotguns don't count.

Currently running;

.308Win (kid/girl's rifle)
6.5-284Norma (Whitetail)
.300WinMag (anything bigger/farther away)
.270Allen Mag (anything in another zip code)

These would be my four I would take out of my safe.
223 AR
257 Wby
6.5-284 Norma
28 Nosler
I might remove one and add a 12 gauge.

I am thinking about thinning the heard a little and going to a four gun battery. Kinda thinking I could cover the whole spectrum with the right four guns. Here are my thoughts, but was wondering what others would choose.

223 plinking
243 coyotes and such
280AI most everything from speed goats to elk
35 whelen elk, moose, and bear

lets here your thoughts on this and what changes you would make. Thanks

How far do you plan to shoot the game mentioned? That right there will dictate what i say.

.22LR
6.5 Creedmoor
.30-06
.375 Ruger

That would be mine today as you can kill anything that walks on this earth with those four with the right ammo. Now we might disagree on the rifles to put those cartridges in. But then that is the fun part of hunting. :)
