39 Hammer ready to rock....

I've shot some of Steve's 39 grain Hammer's in my Howa "Mini" .204 along with some AA2520 a friend gave me to try. It shot very well, now I just need FWP to grace me with a Lope tag this year (or my wife).

Wasn't sure the guns twist would work out with it, but it's doing very well at 100 and 300.

Plus I have orders to find a boar badger this winter to Hammer into a rug:)

Cool! Always thought it was interesting that hammer actually makes monos for 17 and 20 cals. Not sure what I'd use them for but it's cool.

What barrel length and muzzle velocity you gettin? What make of brass is being used?

You know we all obsess over every detail 🥴
 
39 Hammer

Horn brass

28 of AA 2520

3481 fps (next trip going to bump up the juice a bit)

Fed primer

(side note, same load with the 39 Sierra went 3555 fps)
