.338LM trim lenght

What is the proper trim to lenght for .338LM. What is the maximum brass lenght before I should trim?

Without having the proper measuring tool, like the ones from Sinclair your pretty much blind.


Here is the cartridge drawing.

You can decide what you would like to trim them to. If it were me and not knowing exactly where to trim to I'd go .01 under spec.

I can't look at the drawing with my computer. New black hills mesures 2.714 maybe I should trim to that when they stretch 10 or 15 thousands?

It says case length 2.724" so I'd go .01 under that.

I'm not positive but I don't think they would stretch that far unless you were bumping the shoulders way back. I've never had anything stretch .015".
