338 Thunder

What is this round all about? Anyone have specs on this cartridge? Or a website that has information on it? Anyone out there do conversions?

Just curious, my 338 Win Mag is comfortable with 500 yards and under but I keep seeing this Thunder at over 1000 yards.

Its not a cartridge, its a rifle.

As I recall GGs cartridge is 338Lapua Improved.

I was kinda close... theyre both basically just a pepsi can necked down to 338... ones just a little longer, and the other is a little fatter /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Who makes them and how much? Anyone know what kind of ballistics they have?

I think Kirby did the one you are reading about. It is close to Shawn Carlocks 338 edge. 28 inch barrel @ 2950 fps with a 300 grain 338 MK.

search for the 338 edge
