You do need a long action for the Sherman. It will run 250 Bergers north of 2800 though.

That's helpful to know. I guess I was really thinking of the 338 Short. That's short action, correct?
And currently, the only way to shoot any Sherman cartridges is to load them yourself?

I've never done any reloading, but my brother does. I'm wondering how many beers that will cost me.....

Yes the 338 SS is a short action. There are a couple of custom ammo loaders that also do load development.

I know Lance Kenyon does some Short action stuff, but not the 338 Sherman. I THINK Derek Webster does some too, and there are others?
