I have a 338 SS proof barrel but now ordered a shorter barrel the proof was 28 inches long and the new barrel will be 20 inches long. I will be running Suppressor I am interested in loads developed with hammer hunters or the bull dozer 225 grain powders that I have on hand are IMR 4166, Reloader 23, and 24N41. My plan was to sub the IMR 4166 for varget and start low and work up any advice? But if your interested in a proof 338 SS finished at 28 inches with threading 5/8x24 let me know!
