I put these two rifles together years back . 338 Rum 30" Benchmark carbon 1/10 twist. Both built on Remington action's. 338 Edge 30" Proof Carbon . Did load work with h'1000 and 300 gr bergers. No other powder at the time . They ended up at 2884 and 2883 ft.per.sec. So I proved to my self that the 338's are so close to each other that the Rum would be a great choice if your trying to go the cheapest route , if you had a 300 Rum you could just resize the brass to the Edge . Dies are alot different in price also. Rum being alot cheaper and less steps to reload . I'm sure I will always have a few of both of them around . Just my favorites I guess. Rum Man
