338 RUM tapered base

I'm interested in some information. Will a "regular" (Badger Ordinance, Ken Ferrel, etc.)20 MOA base fit the action of the 338 RUM, is it the same width as a standard long action 30-06? or do I need a custom base?

If you're talking about a Rem 700 then I'd say yes. A long action is a long action and I had no trouble on my 338 RUM using the Badger Ordnance base.

Same here if your talking the Rem 700. I used a Badger Ordnance +20 MOA base for my night force on a stock Sendero and had no problems at all. There's even lot's of room for loading.

ferrell works just fine got the 30 on mine{338 rum} could have used the 40 still have 20 inches of down at 100 yds!
