I just picked up a 338 RUM and bought some 270 grain eldx. I am just looking for some load recommendations. Also open to other bullets and loads as I try to decide which one to work up.
I have a lot of H1000 on hand, but will consider buying other powders as well as bullets to try.

thanks,

jc

I have tried some 270's in a couple 338's and didn't care for them. The 285 ELD-M, 250 BERGER, and 300 Bergers all shoot better in 3 different guns. I have a couple ladder tests loaded with 260 Hammer Hunters, though I don't see me shooting in the near future....rut is approaching in KS. 285's are the easiest to load for in my experience, and don't let the "M" fool you, the effects are murderous on game.

My factory Remington 338 Rum likes the 285 eldm and H -1000 ! 30 off the lands ! No crono speed yet .
