When did you get it? Gradeous just past so I'm sure he had some stuff he was working on that has some customers on edge, god rest his soul. Gorgeous rifle. You got a pic of the round?

I drove to his shop last fall and we spun it up. Was great to watch a master at his craft. What took so long was waiting on my stock!

Nice. When I rebuild mine, I'm probably going to an improved chambering. I don't see a brake on it in the photo, are you shooting it without??

A very nice rifle, that shoots quite well, and.....at a very reasonable "hunting" weight! 👍 memtb

PS: a perfect bullet diameter for "all around" big game hunting! ;)

Another PS: no brake! 👍

With the Fat Bastard brake it's pretty violent with the muzzle blast and all. The can is WAY more pleasant, and I can shoot it without hearing protection. 👍

Recoil isn't that bad, more of a heavy push. I can shoot her all day no problems. Still hard to spot you own impacts when she jumps though.

If the wind will cooperate, may try for some groups at 1000 this week. I'll see if I can get a video of the recoil for you.

That would be awesome. A .338 can is a big investment if I won't be able to use it on my light rifle, which is my only .338....

I built a 338 LM improved. Finished it last year. Built on a Stiller TAC338 action, McMillan A5 adj, Broughton sendero 29.5" barrel w/ 4 port Beast brake. Wears a Sightron 10-50x60. Shoot like a .308 with brake installed. Moves 300s around 3000 fps. One ragged hole at 100 yards. Haven't taken it past 600 tart but about 2.5" at 600 yards with me behind it. Gun can probably do better. Weighs in at 14lbs. No big hunts planned with it yet but will kill a whitetail this fall with it using 230 ELD-Xs.

That looks doable, and with a can it would put it up to 10.5+ lbs, and then when I strap it onto my 4 lb tripod, 14.5+ lbs supressed. I think I could handle that....
