Just got my rifle finished up from the gun smith and was wondering if anyone had some load info they could help guide me with.

Rifle Specs:
28'' Kreiger Barrel 1-9 twist
Surgeon Action
A-5 Stock
Jewel Trigger

I have a box of the 300 SMKs and H1000, Retumbo, 4831 and 4831SC to use for my loads.

I would love to be able to get 2800fps second out of this round if can. If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

Start with 89 gr of H-1000, a CCI 250 and seat the 300 smk .060" off the lands. Mine is happy at 92.5 gr with a MV of 2805. But you need to work up as your Lilja will be a bit tight till you get 100 or so through it. Then try to increase your charge again. You may or may not get that velocity with a 1 in 9, mine is a 10.
