Hi. I have Savahe 110 BA Stealth ,chambered in .338 Lapua Magnum. I'm new to handloading and I'm looking to use 250 grn bullet for target shooting. Anyone has any accurate formula for this specific gun and caliber.? Thanks

Load data is easy to find. Your hard choice is between the 250 or 300. It really depends on what you want to do....are you looking to shoot deer out to 600-800 yards? If so, a 250 will suit you jist fine. Or are you after elk out to 1000 or more, and steel out to a mile or more? Then the answer is 300. The 300 has more energy, less wind drift, and more retained velocity than the 250 once you start stretching it out. The only place the 250 does better than the 300 is a little less drop, which really doesn't matter at all once you get past your point blank range.

every gun is different. There is no substitute for load development. Find what your gun likes. There is no short cuts to long range shooting

I've put about 2200 rounds through my 338LM. About 150 of which were 250 MK's. The rest were Lapua Scenars and 300 MK's. I had very bad results with the 250 MK's even in the factory 1 in 12 twist barrel. 250 grain Lapua Scenars out performed them by magnitudes. I don't have the number in front of me, but the bc for the Scenars is significantly higher than the MK's. I cannot prove that the Scenars shot better than the 300 MK's in the factory barrel, but I liked them better. It was too close to call. I've had numerous 6" groups at 1000 yds. with the Scenars.
I have a new Rock barrel with a 1 in 10 twist, and it definitely seems to prefer the 300 MK's.
Personally, I think 250 MK's suck and I will never buy another one.

I'm back at it again. I will be shooting either the 250 accubonds or the 250 berger elites with H1000. Any preference on what the better hunting bullet is and how much H1000 to use? Thanks

I'm a fan of Berger bullets. I'm shooting the 300 gr OTM in my rifle (custom 338 Lapua) with 92.5gr of H1000. Running 2800+ at the muzzle. It has become my go to rifle and has harvested quite a few animals.

250g Lapua scenar , 78g IMR 4831 . Ive shot several 5 round groups out to 225 yards and they came back under 1" , i had one that came in at 0.719 . I know its on the low end for powder but accuracy wise , its awesome .
