Not having any luck with the 270s and r33. Think I'll try another powder cause this combo isn't showing much promise. Base load of 100.5 r33 f215 primers and 3 shots of each coal. It's only 3 shots, but I've tried enough of these to know the rifle doesn't care for this combo. Ideas welcome

5nov19: Update with h1000. 89,90,91 were all together then 92,93 started to climb pretty well.

Hard to see without zooming in but first 6 are grouped fairly well.

I was dumb and bought a ton of 270s before I tested them because this rifle has liked everything..... but 270s :)

I'd work around 3.860 before giving up. A lot of times those triangle groups like the one you see on 3.860 indicate that you're close to having something. I've also seen something as simple as a primer change bring those triangles together. It might be worth trying a CCI250 if you have any on hand.

Thanks Brent. No cci here. I can try some wlrm though. I loaded some up at 3.900 with h1000 to see if the same jump applies or if I'll have to start over. This rifle loved h1000 with 300smk ....

I think it would be worth your time to get some CCI250s. Especially with H1000 in the 338 Edge.

All three of my 338 edges seem to like 90 to 92 gr. Of H-1000 cci mag 250 and 300 gr Bergers .at 15 thou off . All three around 2884 fps. Remington brass necked up .
This is 3 at 100 yrds. 90.4 gr.
