338 edge 26" barrel velocity???

I currently have a 338 edge with a 30" barrel that runs 2840fps with the 300gr SMK and H1000. This rifle is a little long and heavy for packing around on a mountain hunt. I really like the cartridge and want to build another rifle with more of a sporter style for elk hunts where I'll be doing a lot of hiking and stalking. I do not want the barrel on this gun to be longer than 26". If anyone has a 26" barrel 338 edge could you please reply back with the velocities you are getting with a 300gr bullet and with what powder? Just wanting some real world velocity numbers without having to guess what my velocity loss will be. Thanks in advance for your help.
