I've been tossing the idea of finding a 338 RUM. I have a 300 RUM and I really want to have a 338 RUM right beside it. Tough times keeps me from chasing that bug. I do love looking at all these big cal's. Keep em' coming!

Of course it's a nice rifle but the color scheme with the stock and matching Ceracoat really sets it off

I have to thank who ever brought this thread back to the top since it made me realise, that I had lent out my 42 power nightforce out to a buddy "Can I borrow your BR scope if I had some decent glass I could have a chance at decent finishing" well guess what he still sucked.LOL I like those Swift preimer long range scopes and have had good luck with them.

Setting on Re-33, nv-570, h-1000 and re-26 for powder . 250 bergers , 285 eldm's, and the 300 gr bergers for testing .

I'm almost done with my 338 Rum build that I started two years ago about the time this thread started . Hopefully it will be all Cerakoted and ready for pictures and load development by the end of the week. It's a Remington 700 with the works, 4" Wyatt box mag, opened ejection port, fluted bolt, m16 extractor dual ejectors, 27" fluted lilja 1-10" sendero barrel with fat bastard brake, sitting in a carbon edge fill McMillan game hunter topped with a NXS 5.5-22x50 in badger six screw steel rings. It's a fairly light weight set up for what it is I will have to weigh it after the bedding and Cerakote to get the final number but with the parts piled up on the scale it was just under 10lbs with the scope if I remember correctly.

338 Rum , I'm going to try the 250 gr and 300 gr bergers . I have a fall hunt planned with my Oldest Daughter in Montana !!
Still deciding on a scope . No weight yet on this one .
