Thoughts on the viability of doing this?

I've heard that some people have had "chamber-swelling" issues with SS barrels. How about lug strength.

In my opinion, it's too much. Beyond what the action is designed for.

I wouldn't trust the lugs or abutments to last very long.

There are actions better suited for the big Roy calibers.
