122-124 grains of H-870 was my best load when I shot that bullet years ago when it first came out. it shot right at 3300 fps out of a 28" barrel.

Rl 25 with 112 gr and a win MAG primer loaded out to 3.86 coal will run HARD. I have foung the Sierra/ Hornady/ Berger etc do not respond well to the Weatherby Freebore. You might try the Thicker Accubond, Barnes 265 LRX, Hornady GMX , Cutting edge, etc. Of your shooting a factory barrel these will ALWAYS shoot better in the Weatherby freebored rifles. Step up to the 300 gr Accubond or the 280gr LRX barnes vita vouri n 570 or RL33 really does the job. You should push the 250 gr loads about 3250 and the 300 gr loads 3100. I specialize in building Weatherby only rifles and loads. This info is SOME
