I don't think Nosler will ever learn that lesson. There is to many people that just look at the bc number, get all excited and buy there bullets. Then never shoot past 300 yards.
Them saying that the 33 Nosler will out do a 338 lapua is plain stupid. Same with the 28 and 30 Nosler out doing the rum. It's not happening. While I like the Nosler case when Nosler says things like that it does nothing but make me think less of them as a company. I have a lot more respect for a company that puts out a good product and is honest about it's performance and specs.
Took the 33 nosler out for it maiden voyage today. It’s a Christensen classic. Looks pretty good so far. Haven’t loaded for it yet. Waiting on my 270 eldx bullets but I shot the factory nosler 265 gr LRAB and it shot MOA at 400 yards. They were 2760fps which is close what the box says at 2771 fps.
I’m hoping for 2800 fps with the 270 eldx.
I will try the 230 eldx also once I get some of them.
Have to agree with you there, while I was waiting for the 33 to show up I played with the ballistic calcs and several different bullets. The CED 200mth came out with the best combination of wind drift/drop. The 33 is perfect for the 225-250gr range I think.Pretty interesting bullet to run would be the cutting edge 225gr Maximus. I plan to run the 260gr version out of my 338LM hopefully at 2900ish
