Well I put a brace on the 308 barrel, it still kicks like a mother. As for a muzzle break, I can't afford to lose any more of my hearing (according to wife) so I'm looking for a trade in 7-08 or 243. Thank you'll

How far do you hunt?
6mm BR, 6 GT, 6.5x47L are going to be much easier on you without a brake, and kill deer just fine

What distance are most of your shots at? If under 300yds, 6.8 SPC II will work fine, lightweight, low recoil
