308 @ 600 yards

Was out today shooting at 600 yards ( I know it's not 1000 but long range for me )
Remington 700 SPS 1 in12 20" barrel
Timney trigger
Load
42.7 varget
Lapua brass
CcI primer
175 Berger
2570 FPS
15 shots all on target big target is 8" small one is 4"

Now I need to find a longer range to shoot at

nice shooting! looksmlike youre ready for some good hunting out that far!

local range has back stops out to 500.... but if i want haul a target stand out, I can do 600 too....also wishing there was more distance...

Fist time @ 600 had wore out the steel a 400 yards

still working on my technique trigger , breathing and hold , it's a stock Remington with a HS stock and timney trigger and a Zeiss HD 5x25-50 with a 20 MOA rail .

I will have it out to 1000 before hunting season gun) it's half the powder charge that I load in my 300 ultra so with the 308 I shoot it twice as much
