I was hoping my Beanland 260 would be back in time for this weeks shoot, but I'll be behind my 5R. I have shot steel out to 1000, and 500yds but never grouped any. I used Strelok to get my dope for 200 and was high. I was guessing the 20" tube to be around 2600/2650fps with 45g Varget with the 175's, but all software I've tried says 8 clicks elevation. When I went 6 clicks up I was dead on, with a group in the .6's". My question is, if I'm dead on at 100, and with 6 (1/4") clicks of elevation at 200, what would be my 300 & 500Yd doping? No access to chrono. Shooting at 2800 elev and 60 degree weather and my latitude is 35.91.
I tried the Lapua app on android, and using it's 170gr pill it said 6 cicks @ 200, at around 2750 fps, but the calc here and the Lapua differ quiet a bit at 300 and 500. Thanks anyone.
