.300 WM
26" Barrel Length
10 Twist Rate (right hand)
.210 Bergers

I would like to get hunting velocities out to 1000 yards. I will be hunting Hogs, Deer, and Black Bear. Does anyone have experience using this setup. Im going to start loading up rounds and would like to know what kind of velocities you guys are getting.

Thanks-
Nick

I have done several. With a max load of H-1000 and a 210 Berger you should get a muzzle velocity of 2800 to 2850 would be my best guess. But every rifle/barrel is different in what it will allow for a max charge, and also how fast the barrel is.

300 Win Mag
26 " --10twist
210Berger VLD
77.5gr H1000
Fed 215
Win Brass
COAL 3.580 (5 thousandths off lands) in my rifle
2950 FPS @ 5500ft
1/2 inch 100yd groups
Like always start light on powder charge to be safe.
(this load has been super deadly on elk from 75 to 805 so far)

Real close to my loads too. You have a very fast barrel. In fact it is faster than my Broughton 5C barrel that s 28" long.

The velocities mentioned at 5500' will drop below 2900 at 1500' H4831sc will give you better result and I use 4350 in my opinion H1000 is to slow for a 300wm I have seen 2860 with 66.7grns Imr 4350 with 210 bergers in a 28" barrel with them buried in the lands and that is not a max load.
