I use RL26 and never used H1000 in my 300wm but read a lot on this site most use H1000. I'm I leaving fps on the table? I get a consistent 2852 fps with 225g hornady without any pressure signs. I don't have any issues or complaints about the powder but I also live in So.cal area and rarely gets below 50deg. What's your thoughts?

Nathan from muzzlebrakesandmore is a good one to talk to (IdahoCTD?) He ran a wsm with r26 with great results. Maybe google here and accurateshooter for idahoctd r26 or something

Probably not leaving FPS on the table.
RL26 burns a little faster than H1000, so for the 300 WM I tend to use it in the smaller capacity cases. Federal, ADG, etc.
Norma, Winchester, etc usually get the H1000.
I really started liking the RL26 in the 264 WM and the 30-06. That's where most of my RL26 goes now.

When you buy either, ensure you buy enough.

That is the problem with RL26. Unless you bought a couple of kegs of it four years ago, you have been out of it for two years. I don't even consider it now.
I have enough of the RL26 but can't find H1000 ANYWHERE! I heard it might pop up coming spring. I justed wanted to try it. I use norma brass or nosler both are almost the same larger capacity.

There has been Reloder 26 showing up at places I have been recently.
Saw some at two locations but it literally just came in and was being unboxed.

I've tested the temp sensitivity of RL26 in several cartridges and I've never had issues with RL26 in El Paso summer heat with OCW tuned loads.

Two notable cartridges I've tested are the 300 WSM that changed 7 fps across a 53° temp change. The other was a 300 WM loaded with 215 Bergers that held a single digit cold bore ES from 25°-75° F.

When loaded to comparable pressure, RL26 will produce 50-75 fps more velocity than H1000.

I have used H1000 and Retumbo in my 24", 300WM, both delivering excellent accuracy, ES, and temperature stability. I switched from H1000 to Retumbo used with Berger 215's, 210 HVLD's and 200gr ELD-X's a few years back. I found that I could consistently get an extra 75-100FPS(2900-2950FPS) velocity over H1000. I get a complete burn and carbon clean-up is at least equal, perhaps better with Retumbo. I have intended to try R26 but I have chosen to keep my very limited supply for my other cartridge/loads until availability improves.

I switched from h1000 to RL26 for the potential velocity gains. I also switched bullets at the time so I can't say for sure the gains but I believe they were there. I went from a 212 eldx at 2750 with h1000 to the 225 eldm at 2790 with RL26.
I have ran the 208 eldm out to 3060 during a pressure test and have doubts h1000 would have ran it that fast. As far as temp stability of RL26, I have used it at 15 to 85 degrees and not noticed a drastic difference. I haven't test it specifically but I was still on target out to 1200ish yards. I would say it is temp stable. Just my experience.

Only ever used H-1000 in my 300 WM with the 190 Gr Hornady. Max loads got me appx 3025 ft/sec with MOA accuyacy. Lately I've been using the 175 Barnes LRX with max safe loads of RL-26. Velocity is an astounding 3225 ft/sec from a 24" barrel with .75 MOA. Great load in my rifle. BUT as others have said RL-26 is so dam hard to find.
