Just got back from a hunt where 2 different people use my rifle to each take a cow elk. The rifle is a Remington Sendero with an after-market 10" twist bull barrel, Timney trigger and Leupold Mark 4 scope. This setup is heavy but effective. The load is 75.5g of H1000, CCI BR-2 primers and Federal Brass launching the 212g ELD-x at 3030 f/s and very hard on brass.
Looking for ideas on a new load around 2850-2900 f/s.

Mine runs Berger 215 hybrid, 20 thou jump, SAAMI chamber, 73.5 gr H-1000, Nosler Brass, fed 215 primers, 2920fps, 28" barrel. Shoots ragged one hole groups.

215 bergers work well for me. 76 grains of h-1000 and I get right around 2950+fps.
But I don't get it if the 212 worked why switch loads?? Thats amazing speed out of the 212 eldx bullet!!!

You could try H4350 .@ 65.7 gr. Will give you about 2820....I find it a good load...

Side note - how did the 212 ELD-X perform on the hunt?
I have been using 212 eld X since they came out. Awesome bullet. Loading for all my buddies with 300 win mag and for myself 300 weatherby. Farthest shot so far 489 yards +/- 2 yrds lol
Elk did a 360 and fell where it was. Bullet passed thru. On 3/4" mild steel plate I've had several rounds pass thru and all belling out the back side. These are now my favorite go to bullet and great accuracy....just my thoughts
