I've been loading my Marlin 1895 gg with 300g Barnes TSX FN. My current load for it consist of 47.0g H4198. It's pretty accurate and comfortable to shoot. Not seeing sny ejector marks or smashed primers. But I've not been able to find this combo in any manual. Should I be concerned?

If it shoots well and doesn't show pressure signs, that would seem ok in my book. I am no pro, but seems ok.

I run 48.0 H4198 under the 300 TSX in my Marlin 1895 (seen in avatar). Velocity is 1,970 fps and is very accurate. Groups under 1" at 100yds are common. Recoil is fairly mild and there is plenty of room for increased velocity, but I never found a need to go higher.

FWIW - I use Starline brass and Fed 210M primers.
