Ok so it's been a while since I posted. So bear with me.

So here's the rifle. Nothin fancy. Just a 23 inch barrel composite stock with a 4-16x50 vortex cheapy on it.

As you can see my groups leave much to be desired. Using Winchester brass cci large rifle mag primers and the 168 gr hornady a-max. I might also add that this is the third lot I've tested. Starting at 59grs and working my way up found right around 63grs was my sweet spot. And decided some new glass was in order.

Enter the new scope. Yes it's another vortex but the price tag was much higher. This vortex viper HS LR 4-16x44. And I must say is a nice addition to the rifle. Clarity is a wonderful thing!

This is 3 holes at 100 yards same formula as above. I found that this browning shoots exceptionally well for an off the shelf rifle with some home made ammo. Will post again after I work one up in the hornady 180 gr sst. It's superior to a-max because the jacket is attached to the core. As I'm sure you well know. But makes for a better hunting round.

Yeah I had a feeling about that...

Oh very much so!! The more I adjusted my powder charge the more I could see how well it could do.. Like I said in the post above I'd been to the range three times before checking my loads.. So I think relieved is more the word.. I wanted a clover leaf but all of em touching is good enough for me!
