300 WSM Barrel life?

I've heard widely conflicting opinions regarding this exact topic. Some people have said 800-1000 rounds while others have said 2,000 rounds and one even said 4,000 rounds through a 300 WSM!

So, what are your thoughts? Have any of you shot out a 300 WSM barrel? If so, how many rounds did you get out of it?

It can depend a lot on how you treat your barel, but I would put the barrel life around 1600-1800 rounds. 800 is quite low I think, and 4000 is quite high.
