Got a 9 twist 26" Carbon Six barrel on a ARC Nuke action and want to try the 215s. What would be my best powder option? Was thinking RL26 or 4831SC. Any experience or pet loads would be appreciated along with are you running Mag or Std rife primers. Thanks in advance.

Well I figured it out, if anyone needs info it's RL26 for the 215s. Almost broke 3k still not pressure! Good combo.

If this is with new brass, next time around it'll likely be hot if you're on the edge of pressure. I was able to run up to 2950 w/ virgin norma brass and RL26 from 23.5" barrel. After sizing brass, I had to drop down charge considerably. I get better SD with rl23 and only give up 50-60fps to do so.

Naw it's a shirt action, this is at mag length with neck down 325 wsm Bertram brass. Just fire forming it all right now and tinkering will do full load work up after it's all formed! All is well thus far.

I used some Bertram originally in this rifle and the neck thickness was all over the place, as was case weight. Even after I turned all the necks and weight sorted, it was mediocre at best. It does hold more powder than any other brand wsm brass thou, so it's the best got making the highest velocity.

I was planning on neck turning after fire forming but I mandrel size all the necks anyhow, so far so good and that brass is tough and primer pockets are a beast

I've looked into the Bertram, but Ive seen mixed reviews? I'm using FC brass and I hate it. Super soft. I was able to get the 200.20x above 3K but got scared and back it off to 2930. If you recommend Bertram after firing a couple times let us know!

Curious what charge you're running. I ran 68.5 grains of rl26 with my old 300 short before I sold it. My new HCA built 300WSM will be in my hands tomorrow.

69-69.5 grains RL26 in medium action. I worked up a load with it. Froze some and lost 30 FPS over 40 degrees. From 70 to 32 degrees. RL23 was 4 FPS difference.

Is the RL23 anywhere near as fast as RL26? I got a buddy running H4350 in his 300 wsm and has great luck even with the heavies. Thought about trying that also as I have a bunch of 4350 and H1000
