Hi, does any one recommend a load for a 300 Win Mag with a 180 grain Swift Scirocco bullet. Only have IMR4350 and RL22 gun powders. I have heard that the these bullets need to be seated a bit more. If anyone could advise what loads they recommend with these components I would appreciate it. Also what have been your best results with bullet seating? Thanks

Both powders are a little fast for the application, however, I used RE22 years ago in a 24" barreled 300WM with good results.
My notes tell me I was running 76gr of RE22 behind a 180gr Accubond. Checking this, the load is 1 grain below max, so I suggest you work up to max from 74gr and see which load is most accurate in your rifle.
I load to max mag length less .010-.015" for wiggle room. You didn't mention what rifle it is, if it has a 3.4" mag box, just load to 3.385-3.390", as the throat is gonna be miles from that distance anyway if a SAAMI chamber. You can seat deeper and test for the sweet spot if you like.

Cheers.

Not WM but 300 WSM 180 Scirocco II @ 0.060" jump. Only 62 gr RL16 because I was in seating depth test.
