300 Win Mag Load Data Needed

I would appreciate any load data for the 300 Win Mag that you would be willing to share. I plan on trying the Berger 210 VLD and Berger 215 Hybrid bullets but am willing to try other bullet choices if needed but would prefer not to go below a 180 grain bullet as elk is part of the game I plan to hunt as well as whitetail. I have Nosler brass and Federal 210 and 215 primers. I have heard that H-1000 powder is a go-to powder for the 300 Win Mag.

Here's a thread that should give you all you need to know.

But the short solution is get some 215 Bergers, H1000, and Fed 215s. Start your load at around 74.0 grains and work up with your bullet seated about .030-.040 off the lands. You should come up with something your rifle likes. Mine came in at the 75.5-76.0 grain area. Be prepared to do some seating depth tuning, though you may not need it.

H1000 should be a good option for you to try. We list a starting load of 71.5 and a max 75.5 for the 210VLD. For the 215gr, starting is 70.5 and max 74.0. Do you guys test these loads or are they just off Quick Load? All of the loads I've received from you show max to be way below where I eventually ended up.

Load data vary, A LOT depending who and where you look. H1000 works great also 7828 SSC. I'll give you both my loads but if you have fed brass the thicker walls will cause higher pressure/faster fps.

215 gr. 72 gr. 7828 SSC
215 gr. 76 gr. H1000

also, my 230 gr. is 75 gr. H1000

ALL LOADS ARE AT OR NEAR MAX. USE CAUTION!

Just finshed load development in 2 300 win mags one of them is a Borden action #3brux barrel, Nosler Brass, F215 match primer, 215 Berger.030 off the lands started at 73 worked up to 79 Gr H-1000. Speed ended up at 3015. It would shoot a ragged hole with any of the loads from start to finish.

Second on is a Stiller action, #3 Brux barrel Privi brass, F215 primer, 215 Berger .030 off the lands started at 73 and ended up at 77, and was at 2970 fps. This one shot a regged hole at any of the loads.
The Privi brass is way heavier (26 grains) and has 2.7 grains less case capacity.

Both of these guns used a tac 300 reamer with .050 more free bore so they are long 3.748 tight to the lands. Keep this in mind if you are using any of this load data.

What length of barrels are everyone shooting these close to 3000fps with 215g?

The guys that I know of to truly reach 3000 are doing it with 28"+ barrels with custom chambers and Max loads.

I was able to score some h1000 so I'll start over and load till I see pressure just to see how fast I can get. I figured if I can get good accuracy past 2800fps it would be a elks worst nightmare!

You shouldn't have trouble getting up over 2800 fps with H1000.
