I loaded up some 212 eld-x with rl33 from 97-99.5 in 5gr increments. The O A C L is 3.600 using federal 215m and Remington brass. Remington 700 26" factory barrel, vías break, bedded and floated the factory stock, and 2.5lb trigger. Does anybody shoot rl33 out of their rum and if so how has it been working for you? I'm sure I'm missing somethings, I'll apologize ahead of time. Thx

I've tried RL-33 in my 300RUM with the 200gr Nosler AB and the 210 Berger VLD The load I used with the 200 gr Nosler was 97 grs of RL-33, Rem case, CC-250 with an oal of 3.640. Vel was 3023 ft/sec and accuracy was .778" for 3 shots at 100 yds. Real good load. With the Berger 210 I used the same load to get a vel of 2977 ft/sec and 1.300 three shot groups at 100 yds. I'm sure I could have gotten better accuracy and probably more velocity with the 210 Berger had I done more load dev. Seems like a real good powder to try in this cartridge. I found as max pressure was being reached the powder seemed to burn real clean. No residue left in barrel.

Thank you I need to get out and shoot to see how well it does out of my rifle.

I shoot RL33 in my 338rum with the 300 Berger and get fantastic results. ES is in the single digits verified by 1/4 moa groups beyond 1000 yards. Should work great in the 300rum as well.

Here is my 300 RUM load - 92.2g Retumbo, federal 215M primers, Norma brass, with a OAL of 3.742. 3158fps with the 212eldx

I've been using rl33 in my 300rums for years... I'm at 95 gr rl33 with the 225 hdy bpbt fired by a 215 in rem brass... It does 3,000 fps in multiple rifles...

Do you remember what your oal is? I'm going with 3.6005 for my work up.

I was using 96 grains of R33 in Norma cases for 3140fps average SD of 7 from a 27" pac-nor with the 212ELD-X. I couldn't get them to group for me so I switched bullets. I have a bunch I'm sitting on and might get them to shoot with another powder.
