The first 3 shot group attempted at 800 yards with my new 300 RUM was 4.150". It was witnessed by a friend who went along to shoot the rifle. It has a Leupold vx 2, 6-18 Target scope, with Leupold bases and rings. The load is 200g SMK, 94g of H-1000, Fed 215, OAL=3.6", 3197fps. Only problem is the BC and ballistics/clicks aren't working out together. The shots were 14 inches low of the aiming point, but were directly in line for wind. There was none that we could tell. When I get the clicks figured out, it looks like it will easily be a 800 yard elk and bear rifle.

if you don't mind me asking, what was your distance to the lands with reguards to the bullet? I have only worked up to 87gr so far with that powder/bullet.

Thanks
