Anyone use N 565 in a 300 PRC, winny or 30 nosler yet? Or willing to run a quickload on it with 215 Berger? I'm shooting the PRC , have good RL 26 loads worked up...but since I'm out of 26 I need a substitute, back up loads.
I also have 7828 but data is available to some degree.
I've been thru quite a few searches, but it's just such a new combo that little is out there.

Sorry just got mine so haven't worked up any loads yet but would be curious to know what your Reloader 26 load is, if you want to share it.

I would be curious to know your 26 load also. I have 10-15 lbs of it and 4 of n565. I was thinking n565 might be good with the 215 in the prc.

I'm running
75.7 gn RL 26
Fed215 primer
Berger 215
24 in proof on an APR custom
I'm near my max, backed down .7 gn.

Gets me 2810
Basically mimics my last 24" bartlein win mag. No more , no less.

Seems slow for a 215 and RL26? I figured with RL26 I would find a node between 2950-3050.
I have a PRC with a 26" Proof and it is shooting the factory 225 @2882. Obviously not apples to apples since you have the 24" barrel.

I agree...mine also runs the factory 225s a bit faster, 2830 or so I think. Not sure why I'm getting pancake primers and swipes where I am, but it is what it is so far.
Also, I did run a pressure test on n565 w 215 Berger . it seemed to run grain for grain with 26 as far as pressure. I didn't Chrono any yet tho.

Thanks that's good info. Sounds like our barrels are pretty close velocity wise. You are 2" shorter and 50 fps slower which = 25 fps per inch.

Regards

way slow. get a chronograph and work up a load.
230 in a 300 win mag only a 26" bbl well over 2875.
more bullet, less bbl, less case more velocity.
does not sound right.

I have been using a magneto speed. I'll work with the load some more. I'm saying my previous 300 win, throated for 215, ran almost identical speeds and within 1.5 grains of RL 26 . Same barrel length. 24" Bart. Capacity of PRC and win are quite close .
