Finally got another Norma after trading mine a couple years ago. Used mostly H1000 in that one with great results. Got a pile of N570 for this one and could use some advice as I've never used this powder.

I've got 215's to try at first and will likely get some 230's and 199 Hammers to experiment with. It's a 28" 9 twist and I'll be using Lapua brass.

It's about 2-2.5 grains slower than H1000. I would say you would end up between 87-89 grains.

Please report back. Would like to hear you findings on this as you move along, as you get a chance. Thanks!

It'll be next week, I'm waiting for my scope to come in the mail and working 12 hr night shifts through Sunday. Got some 199 Hammers to play with too.

Finally got going on this.

The 199 Hammers were very accurate and fast , but N570 is certainly not a good powder for them in my Norma. ES was 60-80 on every load I tried. I think H1000 or Retumbo would be great but I'm out.

Switched to 215 Hybrids and the ES settled down nicely. Worked my way up to 86.5 grains, 2950 FPS , ES 10 and no pressure signs. Easy 3/8 MOA load at this point. I'm going to continue looking for more speed and maintain accuracy with this combination.

After firing about 30 rounds this morning in a 9.5 lb Norma my shoulder is a little sore and I'm calling it quits for the day.

Load development complete. 86.5 grains of N570, Lapua brass, 215M primer and 230 Berger Hybrid. It makes 2960 with an ES of 7, brass should last a really long time with this load. @Elk Hunter 338 sure does a good job on these lightweight rifles.

Very nice. Thats what i like to see and expect from a rifle and combo like that. .020 off? Its a great node. A lot of improved shooters run that same area. 2930-2960. Guess i was pretty close in my 87-89 area for accuracy. Nice work.
