300 Norma 225 ELD-M H1000 Loads

My AIAX likes Bertram brass, 84 gr of H1000 with the 225 ELD-M. My 20" 300 NM hunting rifle did too. 20 thou of the lands, cci 250 magnum primers. 84 gr is close to max.

What are your velocities out of the 20" NM? Do you shoot it with a brake or suppressed?

Appreciate the info. I kinda thought it would be that realm as I am running around 87 gr of Retumbo with 215s. I will tinker around the 84 realm a grain above and below. Running Peterson brass and it seems to be very stout.

For anyone going down this road with 225 eldm H1000. 82.9 h1000, Peterson brass FGMM mag, 3005 FPS 26" tube

Keeping this thread going
I'm putting one together with a 27" 8 twist, and plan on shooting the 225's with Lapua brass.
Is 3000 about max with the 225's?

ive been running the 225's exclusively in my custom 300wm at 2975fps down a 28" tube

Ive killed 4 elk and probably 100+ whitetail and a few pigs.

They are soft and expand well, I wouldn't knuckle an elk at 20yds but when impact velocities drop below 2600 it will expand very uniform. It is an awesome Long Range hunting bullet. My biggest bull was 1250yd and I rolled him with the first shot in high shoulder. other elk were 190, 280, & 780yds

It levels whitietail from 300-1300yds!

Im now running the 208eldM in 300wsm and 123eldM in 6.5 Grendel for deer&pigs. Its been 100%
hunt with confidence
