Have decided to re barrel my 300 Jarrett Beanfield Rifle to a 257 Weatherby. Because of this I need to sell all of my 300 supplies.. Ammo, Brass , Dies and Barrel

What would you consider a fair price for the following lot of supplies??

60 rounds of loaded ammo by Jarrett, Head stamped Jarrett 165 and 180 grain
270+/- pieces 300 Jarrett stamped brass
100 pieces of Remington 8 magnum resized for 300 Jarrett
300 Jarrett dies
300 Jarrett 26" barrel by Jarrett No muzzle break. Shot very little. Small smudges on the barrel when it was taken off. Take off a Remington action trued by Jarrett.

I hate to break the news to you but unless you just happen to stumble onto someone really wanting to build or buy a .300 Jarrett you're going to take a real beating on the whole deal.

In all likelihood the only way you'll be able to sell the whole deal is to package everything along with the barrel.

You're not likely to get it sold quickly either as the Jarrett, while a good round has an extremely limited following.

That is the risk of running any wildcat.

I agree with WR. According to http://www.jarrettrifles.com/order-ammo.html , the 165 NBT is $43.84/box of 10 and the 180 NAB is $52.50/box of 10.

I have a .30 LARA (Jarrett improved) and use Remington 8MM Rem brass, I paid $.75 each (seen them from $.75-$1.50). My best WAG for the Jarrett stamped brass is at least 4X the price of the Remington brass. Depending on what type of dies you have, it's $150 (https://www.grafs.com/retail/catalog/category/categoryId/3816) and up. His barrels are supposedly proprietary so who knows how much they are other than more expensive than the average premium custom barrels (~$400+/-).

Is there anything wrong with your set-up? You have enough component for a life of a barrel and then some.

I personally would have an effective muzzle brake or suppressor (if allowed in your area) installed and keep it.

Good luck on your sale.

.300 Jarrett is right around the same design as my .300 Ackley/.300 AMU, and is also similar to the .308 Baer, .300 H&H Improved, and .30 Lara cartridges. Just less shoulder angle.

I am a pack rat when it comes to ammo and brass for my rifles.Sometimes I go a little overboard
Same here, but I do it because I don't like to feel like I'm getting low on reloading components or brass or bullets... I'm a natural-born prepper, I have literally been like that my entire life when it comes to guns and ammo or survival type equipment, and I have no idea why, just this drive to constantly be prepared for worst-case scenario. I always buy WAY too much "just because you never know".

Without the barrel would $600/$700 be a fair price?

60 rounds of loaded ammo by Jarrett, Head stamped Jarrett 165 and 180 grain-$40.00 per box of 10 box/ 6 boxes= $240
270+/- pieces 300 Jarrett stamped brass=$3.00ea=$810.00
100 pieces of Remington 8 magnum resized for 300 Jarrett $1.00ea = $300
300 Jarrett dies= $125
$1475 Paid/ $600/$700 sell??

I am pretty sure the purchaser could make some money on this. I just don't have the time to break them all down and sell as pieces. Again thoughts?
