30 Nosler Load Data

Ok first 15 rounds down my new rifle.
It's cut to be 3.6" and .225 freebore with the 212 Hornady EDLX.

my Sierra app says 83.9 of N570 and a 200gr HPBT at 3.64 will run 3060fps.

I think I have seen ppl load up to like 91gn as max loads....I worked up to 84.9 (absolutely no pressure signs) with the 200.20 Berger Hybrids at 2969 avg, now I wasn't doing anything but getting a rough sight and a barrel break in, so that when I get my 212 EDLXs (post office was closed so can't get them till Monday)

so my question is....

anyone have any load data for a 30nosler and the 212 ELDX or something I can go with, I don't have to hot rod it but I want to be closer to 3100 FPS,

I know my barrel may speed up with some rounds down it.

any words of wisdom will be useful.

Is 570 all you have or its what you want to use, what brass do you have

N570 threw research seemed to be best powder to start with, seemed that was what ppl got best FPS and temp stable

P.M. sent, 570 will be faster but H1000 is no slouch. I would use whatever is the most accurate.
I can tell you 570 burns hotter and I found dirtier than H1000 so keep that in mind on throat wear

The .30 Nosler (~4g more) is very close to .300 WM case capacity, so you can use it as a baseline or call Hornady's tech support for advice.

Ok, remember folks....first time to reload or have a nice rig like I have now.

chrono was set up 10' from muzzle
running
Hornady 212 eldx @ 3.61"
86 gr of N570 = 3050ish
86.5 gr of N570 = 3085ish

let rifle cool and lost daylight so chrono didn't properly read for next 6.

87 gr of N570
87.5 gr of N570

squares are 1/4" on paper and was at 100yds, the outlier was my 3rd shot and I got excited when I saw the first two....pushed it a lil.
so I know if I do my part and do. Lil more tinkering I think I will be just over 3100 FPS and will be sitting at 87 gr of N570

maybe I can't get back out and shoot some more very soon

Ok update! 41 rounds threw tube
So I am asking as much as I am telling, in other words as y'all read plz give constructive criticism, I am learning!
I loaded up 14 rounds at 87gr of N570 running 3.618 COAL with a 3.6 cut throat and .225 freebore
First 5 shots
1-3127: 1/2 high 1/2 to left
2-3038: 1/2 high
3-3016: same hole as second shot
4-error: same hole as first shot
5-0 reading: split the difference
.94" 5shot group

Sub 1" main group but had one fly like 3" high....thinking I did something wrong

what will make up mad is my dad brings me our old Winchester m70 classic stainless Boss in the 7mm rem mag that I reload for and shoot a .466 group.......at a avg 3171 MV

I am going to back down to 86.5 and 86 gr of N570 and give it a go.

I'll share what I've learned. CCI 250 primer as Sherm said for sure. And I would be using the Berger 215's. Until you have 150 or so rounds down the barrel you will see things change. Fired brass will be different than new brass. I would use H1000 before I used N570, and it will be slightly slower. You can chase speed with 570, and I've done it, and you will see the effects in the barrel's throat over time. The 30 is my favorite big game caliber, but it requires a serious approach to managing barrel life. Not as much as a 28, but you have to be careful. Ladder testing is your tool on this caliber. You will likely find an accuracy node in the 3050 range and at 3100, the upper node is usually smaller and not as flexible. There is zero real world difference between the two speeds. Ryan Furman and Alex Wheeler are great sources of data on ladder testing with the 30. Keep the carbon from building up in the throat. It's a great cartridge in my opinion.
