So I've worked up loads for several 30 Nosler hunting rigs built by various gunsmiths and had good luck using H1000, 215 Bergers, in ADG with velocity in the 3050-3125 range. All have shot well even in lighter configurations. The one thing that's bugged me with the different rifles has been the over all cartridge length, seems it's either too long or too short. From what I've collected a freebore of .200 is ideal but would like to see what others have found to help from reamer design to net as much velocity with H1000 and still shoot well from the 30 Nosler.

I know most here like the .200-.215 freebore but also know a few people (not here) that run a sammi reamer and 215s. The sammi reamer tends to run a little slower (2950ish) it seems based on what research I've done. FWIW I'm building a 30Nos and will start with a sammi reamer. If I'm not happy with that then I'll punch it out to .200-.215 but I suspect it will be fine.

My 26" proof sendero 1:10 was chambered with a 225 freebore reamer. 215 hybrids utilizing 215M primers, gunwerks(adg) brass and my particular lot of H1000 had pressure signs at 3100fpa. 3020 and 2970 had nice powder nodes that corresponded with great vertical impacts at 400y. I may have been able to squeeze a bit more velocity from it with a cooler primer like a cci250 or 210m. I'm not quite done developing this rifle however. If you look into what benrest guys have been doing, shooting 215s from 300wsm(same neck/shoulder as nosler) 225 freebore is the short standard. This keeps the bullet Shank above donut zone on case. In a saami throat, I'd run the 200.20x Berger.

Your really not gonna get over 3100 with H1000, if you want more speed step up to a bigger 30 cal.
570 may get you more but I'm pretty sure it will be harder on the throat.
.225 freebore is about perfect for the 215.

Mine is a sammi-spec chamber and the most I managed with H1k and 215s was 3050 due to capacity. My best accuracy in all 26 inch 10 twist muller has been 29-2950. That's not an issue to me as it was the goal speed with the build. It's also easier in the brass and barrel alike.

Below is a pic of the 215 loaded .020 off the lands then a 300 (1 inch dot) and 600 yard cold bore 3 shot group with the 230s at 2950.
