I'm going to put together a 7.62x51 N.M. or a 30x57improved this year. Chamber is not the issue here, but with all the new 30 caliber bullets out there things have changed a little bit. I want something that will shoot 150 grain thru 180 grain bullets out to around 600 yards accurately. Kinda want to keep the barrel length under 26" in a #4 or #5 contour. I'll probably use a Vias brake as well.

Now I'm not barrel brand specific, but what I'm more interested in is the style of rifeling to select and twist rate.

what are your thoughts?
