300 Win Mag 76 grains H 1000 a little over 2800 fps off the lands .027

Shot the 7x7 whitetail at 237 yards hit the rib going in and it gernaded going in fist size whole never exited but found the jacket on the opposite side just under the hide. When hit he ran 30 yards then jumped in the cedars and found dead right there.
Not what I expected.
Are these for what 300 yds and further????
You are looking at the Entrance Hole
Are the 212 any better???

I popped a mule deer through the front at 250 eld-x with a 175 eld-x pushing 2850 fps from a mild load in my 7rum... the pill ended up resting on the ham after coring the deer and crossing sides... it weighs between 99 and 100 grains now... The pills are a bit soft and you will do damage to them if you break a lot of bone but they should cut through... They are a bit tougher than most of the heavy match bullets I tried before I landed on the eld-x; my 7rum was popping those pills and destroying them..

2 years ago In a 6.5 prc we shot 2 deer with the 143 eldx's one at 320 and another at 420 the bullets performed flawlessly

So this was my first under 300 and we did find just the jacket under the skin on the off side with no core to be found I Will weigh the jacket when I get back next week.
Are Accubond ABLR any better at under 300yds ????
So we have seen the entrance shot from the outside above.
Now the inside Grenade and No exit So *** Just A Bad or Flawed bullet???
As the deer ran 35 yards and jumped a fence into cedars and piled it up out of view so I stressed for 40 minutes before walking it.

I am a little surprised by your experience, I also use the 200 eldx and have shot a caribou at 112 yards that was probably a bit smaller than that deer and it exited with a 1.5 inch hole after hitting rib and spine, so lots of bone contact and a dramatic exit. My friend shot a moose at 600 and he got a full exit, textbook performance. Also my wife shot a Buffalo with it right at 100 yards and it retained 120 grains and was found on the offside hide, massive internal damage but did not exit. Buff took maybe three steps and was dead on his feet. Pics of the entrance and recovered bullet

Yes I was caught off guard by the performance.
With what I had with 300 plus yard shots I was expecting at 200yds to be similar not a grenade on entrance. Maybe it was a bad bullet. Could the 1-9 twist have been a cause????

Under 400yds and BC is almost meaningless. I'd just use a 180-200gr Accubond for your shots out to 300yds. I put a 250gr Accubond through both shoulders of a Canadian moose @ 54yds and the bullet remained intact. I've also found the regular Accubond easy to find an accurate load for.
.338 or .375? I'd like to run an accubond in my 375 H&H

We've killed lots of critters with the 200 Grain ELDx. Near to far we RARELY get exits, but the wound channels are IMPRESSIVE!

I could care less about what the bullet looks like, if you're getting softball size wound channels that's gonna put the hurtin' on game.
Yes the wound channel inside the buff was extremely effective. Heart was almost in 2 pieces. I bought 600 of those bullets after that hunt.

The 250 Accubond I referenced was run in a 338RUM @ 3,000 ft/sec.

I mainly used the 260 Partition in my 375Ruger. The partition bullets that I removed from the off side of a buffalo looked like they came right out of a Nosler ad, perfectly mushroomed after traveling through the big boy.

This is the inside entrance with No exit
**** thing ran 35 yards and jumped a fence into a cedar draw stressed out for 40 minutes before checking and found piled up 5 yards in the cedars. What can explain this. Read above for all stats

Appreciate that, I'd like to find some 260 partitions then.
