The Gold Ring is Black (Tactical) - See writing on the ring.

Made before Leupold got cheap. It says, "Made in USA."

One-inch tube. Has 2 ring marks on bottom (see photos), other than that...

I had that scope except with mildots. It was pretty bright and clear.

I had a Leupold M8 fixed power 6x42 A/O with 3/4 Mildot, with turrets.
Then you had to figure .75 in, but I just used the dots for reference.
Great scope - but did not have the eye-relief I needed. (without a rail mount to set scope back.)
