Preparing for a 284 Win build. Unbelievably, I was able to find rcbs dies on sale at midway and peterson brass on grafs. What powders have you guys had good accuracy with? This will be strictly a hunting rifle and I will be using Barnes TSX 120 gr.

H4350, H4831sc, RL-23, N160 and, others I shoot with have had success with, RL-16. This is with 180-184gr bullets. I would favor H4350 and RL-16 for the 120's. N150 and N555 would be on my list also if I found some on a shelf.

I've only ever shot 175-180s in my .284 Norma match. Having said that, I would use H4350, RL16, or IMR 4451 if I was going to shoot 120gr bullets.

Rl23 and 175 elite hunters in mine. I've got 145 CE Lazers on the way. My rifle is in a LA and has a very long throat for heavies and high BC monos.

H4350 worked real nice with my short action 284 build and 160 accubonds. The rifle took 3 mule bucks and 2 white doe this year, one of them is in my avatar. Peterson Brass is probably the best brass I have ever worked with!

I have two rifles in 284 Winchester. I'd normally use H-4350, or something close on the charts. For normal deer hunting I load 139/140 grain bullets, and a few 120's.
