284 winchester reamer question

if i want to load 160 accubonds to2.900 coal and 168 jlk's with the ojive at or about half a thou above the mouth, what sort of dummy rounds should i send the smith?

I would load the AB like you stated (w/o powder/primer).

Then, measure to the ogive of the AB using something like a Hornady OAL gauge with the insert for your caliber.

Next load a JLK to that same depth as measure with the Hornady OAL gauge.

Finally, confirm that the cartridge OAL to the tip is within your expectations for magazine length limitations.

...or, perhaps I'm oversimplifying?

well, i plan on single loading the 168's, but i dont want them seated too longbecause i want the throat short enough for the 160 ab's to be seated to mag length. and siera 160 gkhp's. does this help? thanx for the info!
